KING WILLIAMS

The King Williams historical district is a unique place all on its own.  Greek Revival, Victorian and Italianate architectural gems line the streets of this neighborhood.  There are historic homes, shops, museums, and eateries that draw in professionals and married couples looking for something close to the heart of downtown, not quite the suburbs and still one of kind.

And according to a new ranking by Thrillist, it is actually the “most beautiful historic neighborhood” in Texas.

LAVACA

LaVaca is the original San Antonio neighborhood! In the early 18th century the neighborhood began as farmland for the Mission San Antonio de Valero. “LaVaca draws in everyone from spunky millennials to artists to architecture enthusiasts to couples and families.” Lavava has a blend of history and culture and a strong sense of community amongst its residents.  Styles of architecture include caliche block cottages, Victorian, and Neoclassical.  Residents have begun restoring the historic integrity of this neighborhood.

LONESTAR

Lone Star Art District draws crowds every weekend but especially on the first Friday and second Saturday of every month.  The  contemporary art scene showcases new work in galleries across the neighborhood. The old Lone Star brewery takes center stage on its skyline but places like Blue Star Brewery, La Tuna Grill, Gunther House, and Blue Star Contemporary Museum of Art have made a name for themselves across the country.  Historic restorations and modern luxury condos and lofts gives this neighborhood a vibrancy all its own.
